We hope that you are enjoying our weekly news feature, and we will continue to share some of the things we have been reading throughout the week in hopes that you will find them useful. They will mostly, but not always, be USANA-related items covering health, nutrition and business.
Zak just returned from an amazing trip with USANA’s Fortune 25 (and his daughter, Jaydn) through Greece, Croatia and Italy.
We are big fans of exercise, and articles like this one on how exercise improves memory, mental focus, creativity, and academic performance show just how beneficial exercise can be for all ages.
Another benefit of exercise…it may protect you against depression.
I’ve been a fan of Mindy Kaling since The Office, and I really enjoyed her thoughts on entrepreneurial leadership, including this piece of wisdom:
It’s absolutely insane how few people can actually articulate what they want. And yet, having a clear, impassioned vision for where you want to go is the very first step in getting there. In fact, as author and consultant Warren Bennis famously wrote, “Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” Without vision, the people perish.
I may be biased because she is my kids’ pediatrician, but I love everything Dr. Wood writes, including this great piece on good nutrition at every age.
If you don’t read anything else today, you should really check out this article on finding your life’s purpose. It’s really good.
And finally, I usually post a motivating or uplifting video here, but this week, I’m posting a funny one because this is what a lot of my GoPro footage looks like — proof buying a GoPro does not make your life exciting.
Have a great weekend.
